Abrasive Planing Surfacing done by a machine using very coarse sanding belts rather than steel knives.

Air Dried Material that has been stickered and stacked but only dried in surrounding air conditions.

Apron Decorative moulding applied under the sill of a window either interior or exterior.

Astragal Decorative moulding used to cover any joint or flaw to enhance finished look.

Back Bend Decorative moulding used on the back side of door and window trim to give a wider look.

Back Out Cuts on the back side of flooring or moulding to help prevent cupping and ease of installation.

Bannister Also known as handrail

Bar Rail Decorative railing on either side of a bar for comfort and prevent items from being pushed off.
